Someone is thinking correctly with this EVO.

Though I don't understand why he kept the rear hatch and bumper.

Car sounds pretty stock as far power goes.

Now where have I seen this before?

Yikes. How can someone do that to such a new car?

Nice, but without the top I bet there's some considerable body roll around turns. And with no shell protecting the driver...

That car was fun.

A manual AWD EVO must be quite sick in that state. Or an STI.

As above..... unless he is going to put some cross bar and or lateral supports to the pillars the car is going to be worthless in anytihng other than a straight line..... and he forgot to pull the trunk, rear bumper and rear bumper support  Other than that I just want to know how much he paid for the thing lol

Sav, you should've gotten a patent after you added massive amounts of lightness to your 'Ru. Subaru released this thing shortly after the 'Ru was introduced to the streets of Alachua County.

It was also available with a 2.5L Turbo engine.

Some people did this to a CRX a while back, the evo could have been totaled in an accident though in all fairness. The car looked to move pretty quickly and I bet, despite any body roll that it handled decently as welll.

by removing that much weght above the CoM, they moved the center of mass closer to the car's front and rear roll-center. what do you get when the CoM lies at the same height as the suspension's roll center? you get zero roll no matter how soft your spring rates are... yes chassis rigidity was compromised so if the front end ran over an illigal imiigrant then the car's balance would get upset but it certainly would roll less than stock!

He should just cage it and the car would be perfectly fine. I would remove the rear body panels as well though... And also invest in a set of race tires.
