The tarmac driving with lots of oversteer at that future housing complex was awesome! I don't think I would've been as comfortable getting the car so sideways at speed on tarmac with such low power output. Dirt/gravel is just so much more forgiving. So overall, A+ for driving content! I'll even go as far to say that driving a 130whp car like that is MUCH more difficult than a proper 530whp AWD car with a properly mapped center differential.
Overall, great job on the video! The Islamic Jihadist scene was absolutely brilliant! Just some good wholesome family entertainment complete with baby killing. I mean, who doesn't like baby killing! Also, the fake inability to countersteer cutscene was hilarious.
After watching this, I've gained a better understanding of why it is so important to have a car that you can write-off. Without such a luxury, upgrading driver software is much more difficult. There is always a nagging subconscious curbing one's desire to push the limit. 'What if' scenarios are constantly clouding one's judgement and the ability to think outside the box decreases substantially. For example, the tarmac driving : because I only have experience with tarmac oversteer at lower speeds, I would feel very apprehensive entering a tarmac corner at such a high rate of speed while calculating the distance needed to scrub speed off during the slide. Because tarmac is simply a force multiplier and I don't quite trust myself to react quickly enough. Dirt/gravel is so much freaking easier. But if I was able to slowly push the limit further and further on tarmac, my brain would be able to calculate consequences a few more seconds in advance.
Predictive processing coupled with good reactionary responses is what makes a good driver. Very few people can control a car like it's an extension of their very own hands and feet. Kyle Sarasin certainly belongs to that group.
My favorite part in the video occurred at the 2:15 mark. An open rear diff'd 130whp AWD car laid down some serious rubber on the outside rear wheel during the corner. No doubt, the driver was at WOT during the duration of the corner. If only there was some pedal box video to go along with that.
Anyways, I've been watching and re-watching parts of this video while compiling my post for the past hour or so. I guess my attention span has run out. I'll add more later as I see fit.
